The game of tennis most commonly played today has been adapted from a much earlier game called Court Tennis, Real Tennis, or Royal Tennis (depending on where you live). Modern tennis is played on a special court divided by a net, with a single player at each end (singles), or a team of two players at each end (doubles). There are many sites listed in this category which can give you a better understanding of how the game is played.

We Won a Close Tennis Match This Weekend!
Tennis is a great sport and when you win it is even greater! My partner and I found ourselves in a close tennis match this weekend, but we managed to win in two sets. After a good start, we won the first set 6-4. We were leading in the second set, but the other tennis team managed to tie us at 6-all. A tie breaker was up next. We got off to a slow start but managed to catch up and win. We closed out the second set at 7-6. This is one of our best tennis matches of the season.
